GB 2626-2006 Regulation for disposable folding masks
Our Folding masks are certified GB 2626-2006 type KN95 and disposable. Their filtering performances are comparable to a respirator of class FFP2. Let's see in detail what it means.
The regulation GB 2626-2006 for KN95 FFP2 masks
The standard GB 2626-2006 è in force in the People's Republic of China and specifies the technical requirements, testing methods and marking of non-fedged respirators, which purify the air of potentially harmful particles through a protective filter.
The regulation does not apply to protective devices against harmful gases and vapours.
According to this standard, respirators are classified into three categories: disposable masks, half masks with replaceable parts and full face masks.
The filter element is further classified according to its efficiency: KN includes respirators with non-oily particle filters; category KP filters oily and non-oily particles.
The filtering efficiency must always meet the requirements of this table:
Category of mask |
Particle filtration |
KN90 |
More than 90,0% |
More than 95% |
|
KN100 |
More than 99,97% |
The number that follows the indication type (KN), refers to to the performance of the mask in terms of filtration.
Does KN95 masks protect as FFP2?
Below is a table comparing the characteristics of FFP2 disposable masks and KN95 disposable masks.
